Marketing

Web development, engineered for performance.

Many Dubai sites run on heavy themes and drag-and-drop builders that load slowly on phones and age badly. I build on modern stacks, fast by default and built to last.

The short answer

A performance-engineered website meets Google’s Core Web Vitals on a mid-range phone: Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint under 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1. It ships semantic HTML, structured data and AI-crawler access from day one. Marketing sites typically take four to eight weeks.

What makes a website fast enough?

Mobile is the default screen: the UAE had 23.0 million mobile connections, 202% of the population, and 99.0% internet penetration at the end of 2025, according to DataReportal. The thresholds below are Google’s published “good” levels from web.dev.

Core Web Vitals targets on a mid-range phone:

  • Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds.
  • Interaction to Next Paint under 200 milliseconds.
  • Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1.

These come from architecture decisions at the start, not fixes after launch. Lighthouse scores of 90+ across performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO are the default, checked on real devices as well as in the lab.

Which platform should you build on?

  • Marketing sites: static generators (Astro, Eleventy, Hugo) on edge hosting such as Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Vercel. Fast, cheap to host and secure.
  • Web applications: Next.js, SvelteKit or Remix, with a backend that fits the job.
  • E-commerce: Shopify for most stores; headless Shopify when the brand needs more; fully custom only for unusual requirements.
  • Editor-friendly: WordPress when your team and plugins justify it, Webflow when non-developers edit design regularly.

No platform loyalty; the requirements decide.

How long does a website take to build?

  1. Discovery and architecture (week 1): requirements, content, integrations and performance targets.
  2. Design (weeks 2–3): wireframes, then full designs, reviewed before build.
  3. Build (weeks 4–8): components first, then pages, with a performance budget from day one.
  4. Testing (weeks 9–10): real devices, accessibility, performance, SEO and browsers.
  5. Launch (week 11): deployment, DNS, monitoring, editor training and 30 days of post-launch support.

Typical timelines: a five-to-fifteen-page marketing site in four to eight weeks; a custom-designed site in eight to fourteen; a web application in twelve weeks or more.

How is SEO built into the site?

AI answers draw on the same index: Google says pages only need to be “indexed and eligible to be shown in Google Search with a snippet” to appear in AI Overviews (Google Search Central). Fast, crawlable HTML is the foundation for both.

“There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.”

Google Search Central, AI features and your website

Semantic HTML and heading structure; schema for your organisation, services, FAQs and breadcrumbs; social preview cards; sitemap and robots.txt; AI crawler access; deliberate internal linking; and hreflang for Arabic or other languages. See SEO and AI search.

Hosting and ownership

You own the domain and the code. Static sites cost very little to host and are easy to restore; dynamic applications get a deliberate backup plan. SSL, monitoring and uptime alerts are set up at launch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What do you build with?

It depends on the job: static generators for marketing sites, Next.js or SvelteKit for applications, Shopify for most e-commerce.

Do you build on WordPress?

Occasionally, when there’s a clear reason such as an existing investment or a plugin your team relies on. Most new marketing sites perform better on a static-first stack.

Why not Wix or Squarespace?

They suit very small sites, but limit speed, integrations, multilingual setups and design. Migrating later usually costs more than building properly once.

Do you handle maintenance?

Setup, yes. Static sites need little upkeep; ongoing maintenance for applications runs through partners or your own team.

What about accessibility?

WCAG 2.1 AA is the default, built into design and code. Formal audits for regulated clients are arranged with specialists.
